SARA   BINETTI

I graduated from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 2018, working on the short film Coscienza Pulita.
I began my career in animation in 2019 as a 2D animator, contributing to children’s productions such as Topo Gigio as well as adult animated series for Netflix, including Strappare lungo i bordi by Zerocalcare.

In 2021, I transitioned into storyboarding, the role I had always dreamed of pursuing, and have since grown professionally across both Italian and international productions.

 

My credits include Grimsburg for Fox Broadcasting Company, Totally Spies!  (one of the cartoons I grew up watching), Zerocalcare’s upcoming Netflix series Due Spicci, an upcoming feature film, and many other exciting projects.

My work is undoubtedly my greatest passion, but it’s accompanied by many others: I love running, even though I’ve never gone beyond 10 km, it has become a deeply personal moment of reflection, a way to challenge myself, take care of my well-being, and discover new places. I’ve run through several Italian cities and regions, but also along the seawall in Vancouver and across countless routes in Kyoto and Tokyo during cherry blossom season.

I really love traveling, and to me, traveling doesn’t necessarily mean long trips abroad. Sometimes it simply means jumping on the first available train to spend a spontaneous weekend in another city with friends living far away.

Neapolitan parents, born in Puglia, and raised in Milan, I’ve always felt connected to multiple places and identities at once. I believe this is what made me so curious, constantly in motion, and eager not to define myself by a single place alone.
